The Hispanic Heritage Festival
& Health Fair

The Kapiolani Park Bandstand in Waikiki
10am-6pm

Lots of live entertainment, food booths, crafts, cultural displays, specialty booths, children's activities and information from different community/health agencies.

Proceeds from the event will go to student scholarships given out by Hispanic organizations.

Heritage, Diversity, Integrity and Honor: the renewed hope of America

Alma Latina Productions, Hawaii Hispanic News, The Hispanic Community and
the City and County of Honolulu is proud to present the annual Hispanic Heritage Festival & Health Fair in the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.


The event is free and open to the public.

Since it's beginning in 2001 our celebration of El Dia de San Juan, Puerto Rico
and fundraiser aka: HAWAII SUMMER SALSA IN PARADISE has been received with open hearts and tons of Aloha!

This fundraiser helps to provide Hispanics in our community a place they can call upon for a variety of services, resources and referrals. Through the tireless efforts of many volunteers, long hours and dedicated hearts we have manage to create a wonderful event that showcases our culture, our love of Ohana our fantastic local talent and an all out great day to celebrate while supporting the Hispanic Center of Hawaii.   • Promotes and coordinates Hispanic events and projects within Hawaii.

  • Promotes and coordinates Hispanic events and projects coming to Hawaii.

  • Statewide database of local Hispanic entertainers, musicians and organizers.

  • Promotes and coordinates Hawaii-based events and projects going to the Mainland, or another country to represent Hawaii.

Alma Latina Productions


If Latin entertainment is what you need, Nancy Ortiz (of Alma Latina Productions) is most likely the person who can help you get it. She believes in promoting all of the local talent here in Hawaii, and she is dedicated in this area. Just to name a few: Rolando Sanchez & Salsa Hawaii, Orquesta SalsAloha, Second Time Around, Los Carinosos, Tommy Valentine y Sus Amigos, "El Leo" the Jarican Express, Latin Fire, Son Caribe and more. She continually promotes Latin / Salsa entertainment at the different malls: McCully Shopping Center, Pearlridge, Ala Moana Center, Windward Mall, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Presently Alma Latina hosts Latin Heat Thursdays ~aka~ Salsa After Hours, every Thursday night @ Blue Ocean Thai Restaurant/Nightclub, 327 Keawe Street, 8:30p-1:30a.

Nancy Ortiz is also the host of the Alma Latina Show on KWAI/K-108,1080AM, Sundays, 10am-1pm sharing music from the Latin World.

Alma Latina Productions is a Latin entertainment promotion and event planning company. It has brought entertainers from Puerto Rico, New York, and California to Hawaii.
